According to TechCrunch, at Meta's "@Scale" conference, Boris Cherny, the founder of Claude Code, pointed out that the agent 'loop' technology represents a genuine evolutionary direction in the field of software development, rather than mere hype. He stated that the development model is shifting from manually writing code to agents triggering each other and generating code, a transition no less significant than the move from source code to agents. Cherny revealed that his team has deployed multiple agents running continuously in the background, responsible for optimizing code architecture and unifying repetitive logic, as well as continuously submitting code merge requests like regular developers. This technology addresses complex problems through continuous computational investment. While it offers significant engineering optimization benefits, high operational costs remain the primary challenge for its current commercialization.
