On June 9, our reporters learned that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, has recently issued a joint notice to initiate a specialized program for real-world training of humanoid robots and embodied artificial intelligence (AI) in 2026. According to the notice, by the end of 2026, key products like humanoid robots are expected to lead the way in completing application validation and achieving routine deployment in representative scenarios, thereby setting a precedent for an 'operational model.' Concurrently, the program aims to refine and establish over a hundred high-value application scenarios, broadening the scope of embodied AI applications and nurturing the capacity for large-scale deployment at the ten-thousand-unit level.
