Anthropic PBC is set to widely release a version of the Mythos model that is prohibited from being used for cybersecurity tasks. Several months ago, the company warned that this powerful artificial intelligence model could discover and exploit critical software vulnerabilities. The new model, named Fable 5, will be launched on Tuesday and will be equipped with safeguards to prevent it from responding to inquiries related to cybersecurity and biology. Anthropic stated that in these cases, the Claude chatbot will handle responses through another model, Opus 4.8.
