Tsinghua University News Network, June 8 - The Joint Research Center for Artificial Intelligence Systems, a collaborative venture between the Computer Science Department at Tsinghua University and iSoftStone Computer Co., Ltd., recently celebrated its grand opening ceremony at Tsinghua University. The event was graced by the presence of Academician Zheng Weimin, a distinguished professor from the Computer Science Department; Huang Chunmei, Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory Management Center at Tsinghua University; Xue Wei, Deputy Head of the Computer Science Department; and Han Zhimin, Executive Vice President of iSoftStone. The ceremony was skillfully hosted by Lu Youyou, an associate professor from the Computer Science Department and Director of the Joint Research Center.

Academician Zheng Weimin articulated his aspirations for the Joint Research Center, emphasizing its focus on two pivotal domains: high-performance storage and the optimization of large-scale model training and inference systems. Huang Chunmei highlighted that Tsinghua University has seamlessly integrated artificial intelligence research into its university-wide strategic development plans, expressing optimism that both parties would synergize their efforts to forge a premier hub for AI innovation and talent development in Beijing.

Han Zhimin, representing iSoftStone, affirmed the company's commitment to continuously channel resources into the Joint Research Center, thereby accelerating the transformation of academic technological advancements into tangible industrial products. Amidst the distinguished gathering, Xue Wei and Han Zhimin jointly unveiled the commemorative plaque for the Joint Research Center, marking a significant milestone in their collaborative journey.
