At WWDC 2026, Apple showcased a new iteration of Siri, now powered by Apple Intelligence and running on a cutting-edge, on-device AI large model. This model brings significant performance enhancements, but it comes with a notable hardware requirement: a minimum of 12GB RAM. As a result, only select models across the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro lineups will be able to fully leverage its capabilities. Apple is redefining the pace of innovation in consumer electronics by tightly integrating software and hardware. Looking ahead, premium on-device AI experiences will become increasingly reliant on ample RAM, with 12GB or more expected to become the norm for flagship devices.
