At the 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple unveiled a fresh wave of enhancements for its Apple Intelligence suite, highlighting that not all devices currently compatible with the older iteration of Apple Intelligence will be able to harness the most advanced local AI functionalities. Apple clarified that although the majority of new features can operate on supported devices, certain pivotal capabilities will be reserved exclusively for the latest iPhone, iPad, and Mac models. Devices that are compatible with the new operating systems, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, encompass the iPhone 16 and subsequent models, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, along with iPads and Macs powered by M1 chips or their successors. Among wearable devices, the Apple Watch Series 10 and later iterations, as well as the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and its subsequent versions, will be equipped to leverage the pertinent features, with the Apple Vision Pro also making it to the compatibility roster. Owing to regulatory constraints in China and the European Union (EU), certain features will remain unavailable in these regions for the foreseeable future.
