NVIDIA has partnered with LG Group to establish artificial intelligence factories, aiming to facilitate LG's comprehensive expansion into AI-driven businesses. The collaboration spans a wide range of areas, including robotics, autonomous driving, data center technology, and GPU cloud services. This partnership deeply integrates NVIDIA's full-stack AI factory platform with LG's leading advantages across multiple industries, achieving comprehensive connectivity from AI model development and data generation to simulation training. It establishes a unified workflow for developing physical AI systems, significantly enhancing the competitiveness of smart manufacturing and striving to create an autonomous manufacturing ecosystem and a model for global smart factories. LG Electronics has incorporated NVIDIA's robotics framework into the development of home robots, utilizing the GR00T large model to endow robots with human-like reasoning capabilities. It is also planning to establish a physical AI data factory to address training data challenges. LG Innotek plans to introduce advanced robotic components and customized sensing solutions. LG CNS has accelerated the AI transformation of its industrial robotics platform by accessing NVIDIA's robotics technology. The two parties have further expanded their collaboration on next-generation AI factories, with LG Electronics working closely with NVIDIA on thermal management cooling equipment and modular prefabricated design technology to adaptation (be compatible with) the DSX platform. LG U+, in collaboration with LG Electronics and LG Energy Solution, is building an AI factory based on DSX, with LG CNS responsible for the relevant factory construction. LG U+ is planning a large-scale AI data center, while LG Energy Solution is collaborating on the development of power supply solutions for the data center. In the automotive business, LG Electronics is adapting its relevant systems to NVIDIA's DRIVE platform, adopting the DRIVE AGX solution, while LG Innotek is collaborating on the development of next-generation automotive components. Additionally, the two parties have jointly optimized the open-source large model EXAONE in South Korea. LG AI Research leverages NVIDIA's technology for research and development and builds an inference engine, while LG Group promotes the widespread application of this model across all its businesses. NVIDIA provides computing power and technical support to assist LG in achieving intelligent transformation.
