China’s AI Large Models Outpace US in Weekly Call Volume for Six Weeks Running, Dominate Four of Top Five Global Rankings

From June 1 to 7, the global call volume for AI large models surged to 36.1 trillion Tokens, marking a 13.5% week-over-week increase and extending the growth streak to seven consecutive weeks. Notably, China’s AI large models accounted for a weekly call volume of 14.19 trillion Tokens, up 27.49% from the previous week. This sustained growth over three weeks has solidified China’s position at the forefront, outpacing the US for six straight weeks. In stark contrast, US large models saw their call volume decline by 24.53% to 3.2 trillion Tokens during the same period.

Among the top five AI large models globally by call volume, Chinese models claimed the first four spots. DeepSeek-V4-Flash maintained its lead for the third consecutive week, with a call volume of 3.69 trillion Tokens, up 19% week-over-week. Tencent’s Hy3 preview secured the second position with 2.94 trillion Tokens, despite a 3% week-over-week decrease. The newly launched MiniMaxM3 ranked third with 2.5 trillion Tokens, while Xiaomi’s MiMo-V2.5 jumped to fourth place, boasting a 50% week-over-week increase to 2.19 trillion Tokens in call volume.
