On June 8, NAVER, the internet behemoth from South Korea, and NVIDIA made a joint announcement revealing that NAVER is set to amplify its autonomous AI infrastructure, utilizing NVIDIA's DSX platform as its foundation. The initial phase of this ambitious project will kick off at the GAK Data Center in Sejong, boasting an initial capacity of 55 megawatts. The plan is to incrementally expand this capacity to reach the gigawatt scale, catering to the needs of South Korean businesses, manufacturing sectors, governmental bodies, as well as global AI cloud clientele. In the realm of model innovation, NAVER intends to harness NVIDIA's comprehensive AI platform to propel the development of its forthcoming HyperCLOVA X model. Moreover, it will fine-tune this model using NVIDIA's Nemotron 3 Ultra open-source framework, thereby crafting tailored models for the Korean language and the worldwide corporate landscape. Furthermore, NAVER has proudly become the inaugural South Korean enterprise to join NVIDIA's Nemotron Alliance, with aspirations to unveil an AI agent platform in South Korea during the latter half of this year.
