On June 8, NVIDIA and SK Hynix announced the establishment of a multi-year technical collaboration to jointly develop next-generation memory required for the construction of global AI factories, as well as integrate AI technology into the design and manufacturing of semiconductor chips. According to the agreement, SK Hynix will develop dedicated memory for NVIDIA's Vera Rubin AI supercomputer, Vera CPU, RTX Spark PC, and Jetson Thor robot computing platform, thereby entering the new markets of AI infrastructure, personal AI, and physical AI that NVIDIA is pioneering. In semiconductor manufacturing, SK Hynix will leverage NVIDIA's CUDA-X libraries and PhysicsNeMo framework to accelerate chip simulation and lithography computing processes, and utilize NVIDIA's Omniverse and cuOpt to build digital twins of wafer fabs, promoting autonomous factory operations.
