At the Delivering the Future conference, Amazon unveiled its new generation of AI-powered intelligent warehouse mobile robot, Proteus. This robot is at the core of Amazon's €10 billion investment plan for its European logistics network, aiming to leverage AI technology to enhance global delivery efficiency. Previously, the older version of the Proteus robot had been deployed in 25 logistics centers across the United States, but was limited to dock loading and unloading areas, responsible for transporting carts weighing nearly 400 kilograms. The newly upgraded Proteus robot supports voice or text communication and can move freely throughout the entire warehouse. It is expected to be introduced to the European market in the first half of 2027.
