According to a report by Lyon, Tencent's stock price experienced a significant surge, peaking at a 10% increase yesterday. The report reveals that Tencent is on the verge of introducing an AI Agent feature for its massive user base of 1.4 billion WeChat users. This innovative feature will empower users to accomplish a variety of tasks seamlessly within the app. Presently, Tencent is in the testing phase of an AI Agent prototype and intends to commence the compliance procedures for its official rollout as early as this month.

Lyon firmly believes that the launch of a trillion-parameter large model and a WeChat AI Agent by Tencent is inevitable, with both anticipated to materialize this year. Leveraging its expansive WeChat ecosystem, which encompasses over 4 million mini-programs and serves 1 billion users, Tencent enjoys a substantial competitive edge in the realm of AI Agents, even eclipsing Apple's iOS ecosystem. Competitors would face a daunting challenge, requiring at least a decade to replicate such a robust ecosystem.

The report also highlights that Tencent's stock price has witnessed a cumulative decline of approximately 20% this year, largely attributed to market apprehensions regarding its AI capabilities. Should Tencent succeed in demonstrating that these concerns are unfounded, a reevaluation of its stock price is foreseen. Furthermore, Tencent's profits are projected to sustain growth this year, buoyed by the stellar performance of its core gaming and advertising revenues, coupled with the ongoing expansion of its gross margin.
