On June 3, 2026, Microsoft officially launched the Web IQ service at Build 2026, a set of search APIs specifically designed for AI agents. Built on Bing's two decades of technological accumulation and featuring a restructured underlying architecture, Web IQ aims to provide high-quality, compact, and low-token-consumption semantic calibration information. Web IQ enables rapid connection between AI tools and internet resources, including web documents, news, images, and videos, helping AI agents establish semantic calibration. With 95% of request response times under 165 milliseconds, it is approximately 2.5 times faster than competing products. Currently, Web IQ has been integrated into Microsoft Copilot and OpenAI ChatGPT, with plans to open it up to more third parties in the future.
