China’s first-ever embodied intelligence data collection community, a collaborative venture between JD.com and Suqian City, has officially commenced operations in Suqian. Following training, residents will be able to employ JD.com’s self-developed 220-gram JoyEgoCam acquisition terminal during their daily household tasks. This device facilitates the collection of crucial data, including upper limb trajectories and force distributions. The terminal is designed for millimeter-level precision in data collection across diverse environments, all without disrupting the residents’ normal routines. This community represents a significant component of JD.com’s embodied intelligence data infrastructure. JD.com has established a comprehensive data pipeline that spans five core scenarios. The company aims to mobilize over 100,000 internal employees and 500,000 external industry professionals to undertake extensive data collection efforts, with the goal of amassing more than 10 million hours of high-quality data within the next two years. Over 100,000 Suqian citizens will be involved, covering more than a hundred sub-scenarios in the process.
