On May 18, during his inspection tour in Beijing, Li Qiang underscored the importance of fully enacting the pertinent discussions and directives from General Secretary Xi Jinping. He advocated for the deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with advanced manufacturing and the cultivation of fresh drivers for economic growth. During his visits to Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd. and Xiaomi Auto Co., Ltd., he noted that intelligent robots represent a pivotal platform for the convergence of these two domains, emphasizing the necessity of bolstering foundational research to underpin industrial advancement. He highlighted that the essence of technology lies in its application, and China should harness its strengths to foster the widespread adoption of intelligent robots. Concurrently, it is vital to implement the 'AI Plus' initiative, expedite the development of next-generation intelligent manufacturing, and drive the modernization of the industrial system. Furthermore, the pivotal role of enterprises as the cornerstone of innovation should be fully leveraged to promote intelligence across all stages and spearhead industrial transformation.
