On May 15, 2026, Baidu unveiled the formation of its Baidu Model Committee (BMC), a body composed of young researchers well-versed in the intricacies of large-scale models. This committee will receive reports from both the Basic Model R&D Department and the Applied Model R&D Department. The BMC will take on the responsibility of supervising the complete lifecycle of Baidu's large-scale models, encompassing pathfinding, technical blueprinting, model training, and business deployment.
