According to Bloomberg, on May 6, OpenAI President Greg Brockman testified in court that Elon Musk had criticized ChatGPT's predecessor model as 'stupid' and stated that 'kids on the internet could do better.' This remark raised doubts among OpenAI's co-founders about Musk's patience in running the company. Brockman recalled that in 2017, company executives discussed creating a for-profit entity to support nonprofit research and disagreed on whether Musk should hold a majority stake and serve as CEO. Brockman preferred Sam Altman for the CEO role, believing Musk lacked vision in the early stages of technological development. During discussions on the equity structure, Musk left angrily due to dissatisfaction and suspended financial support. Additionally, Brockman revealed that OpenAI expects to invest $50 billion in computing power this year to support the development of its AI software.
