OpenAI has declared its intention to broaden its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), with plans to integrate its AI models into the Amazon Bedrock platform. Earlier, Microsoft relaxed the terms of its exclusive cooperation with OpenAI, enabling the latter to escape the confines of Microsoft's ecosystem. As per the new agreement, OpenAI's flagship models, including GPT-5.5 and Codex, will be accessible on AWS. In response, Amazon will introduce the 'OpenAI-powered Bedrock Managed Agents' to assist enterprise clients in deploying autonomous AI agents on a large scale. The crux of this collaboration lies in the revised agreement between OpenAI and Microsoft, where Microsoft has waived certain exclusivity restrictions in return for a more advantageous revenue-sharing model and has eliminated the contentious AGI clause. Previously, Microsoft had sought to hinder Amazon's collaboration with OpenAI.
