Google plans to invest up to $40 billion in artificial intelligence startup Anthropic, starting with an initial investment of $10 billion at a valuation of $350 billion, with the potential for an additional $30 billion later. Following the success of Claude Code, Anthropic is ramping up its fundraising efforts, and Google Cloud will provide computing power for the next five years.
