On April 23, Tesla took to its official Weibo account to declare that it would initiate preparations in the second quarter for its inaugural large-scale factory, which will be solely devoted to the manufacturing of Tesla humanoid robots. The production line for the first-generation robots is engineered to boast an impressive annual production capacity of 1 million units. This new line will supplant the existing production lines for the Model S and Model X at the Fremont factory. Concurrently, Tesla is also gearing up for a second-generation production line at its Gigafactory Texas, with a vision to achieve a long-term annual production capacity of 10 million robots.
