On April 2, Baidu Health introduced 'Youyi Assistant,' China's inaugural doctor-centric, task-oriented AI assistant, built upon the Claw framework—often referred to as the doctor's equivalent of 'Lobster.' This innovative product features a pioneering dual-engine approach that merges retrieval and task functionalities. In its retrieval mode, it harnesses a vast repository of over 60 million pieces of professional literature, enabling authoritative, evidence-based research. Meanwhile, the task mode is designed to autonomously handle intricate tasks, including academic research, paper composition, and patient follow-ups. The harmonious interplay of these two modes caters to three primary scenarios encountered by doctors: research endeavors, clinical practice, and patient management, thereby substantially boosting their overall productivity. Presently, the retrieval mode is accessible for trial use on the App, with the task mode being progressively introduced. Furthermore, the product incorporates a robust five-tier medical-grade security framework to safeguard data integrity and ensure regulatory compliance.
