According to reports, OpenAI's shares have encountered a tepid response in the secondary market, experiencing challenges in sales. This situation has led investors to shift their focus towards its competitor, Anthropic. In response to related reports, Tesla CEO Elon Musk commented on social media, saying, "Not surprising."

Reports suggest that Anthropic has emerged as a highly sought-after company in the AI investment landscape, with its shares witnessing unprecedented demand in secondary market transactions. In stark contrast, OpenAI has recently faced difficulties in offloading shares valued at around $600 million. A multitude of institutional investors are gearing up to invest billions of dollars in acquiring Anthropic's shares, creating a sharp divergence from the situation at OpenAI.

The founder of Next Round Capital mentioned that despite reaching out to numerous institutional investors, they were unable to secure buyers for OpenAI's shares. Last year, these shares were snapped up within days, but now, even with a 10% discount, there are no interested parties. On the other hand, Anthropic is riding a wave of investment enthusiasm, with competitive bidding on the platform propelling its valuation to approximately $600 billion, marking an increase of over 50% from its previous funding round.
