Anthropic’s AI assistant, Claude, has now gained the capability to directly control users’ computers to accomplish a range of tasks. The company is in the process of developing AI agents that are poised to rival OpenAI’s offerings (assuming "OpenClaw" is a typographical error and you meant a well-known competitor like OpenAI). On March 17, Anthropic made an announcement stating that users can transmit instructions to Claude through their mobile phones, and subsequently, Claude's AI agent will execute the corresponding operations on the computer. At present, this functionality has been introduced as a research preview and is exclusively accessible to Max subscribers.
