On March 19, Lei Jun made an exciting announcement: Xiaomi has rolled out three self-developed, large-scale AI models—Xiaomi MiMo-V2-Pro, Xiaomi MiMo-V2-Omni, and Xiaomi MiMo-V2-TTS. Among these, Xiaomi MiMo-V2-Pro is tailored for the Agent era, boasting an impressive total of over 1 trillion parameters and the capability to support contexts of up to 1 million tokens. Its performance not only outstrips that of Claude Sonnet 4.6 but also comes tantalizingly close to matching Opus 4.6, all while its API pricing is set at a mere one-fifth of Opus 4.6's. In a strategic move, Xiaomi has teamed up with five leading Agent frameworks—OpenClaw, OpenCode, KiloCode, Cline, and BLACKBOX AI—to provide complimentary API access during the model's inaugural week, extending an open invitation to domestic developers to experience its capabilities firsthand. Lei Jun further revealed that Xiaomi's commitment to AI is stronger than ever, with investments in the field set to surpass 16 billion yuan this year.
