On March 20, the 2026 Alliance Work Conference, coupled with the launch event for the National Pilot Testing Base for Artificial Intelligence Applications within the Energy and Power Sector, unfolded in Guangzhou. The AI Research Center of China Southern Power Grid Digital Group, Huawei, ZTE, Baidu, along with four other enterprises and institutions, emerged as the inaugural group of representatives to establish their presence at the base. Presently, the pilot testing base has forged connections with over 100 entities spanning diverse sectors, fostering an environment of resource sharing and collaborative progress. Looking ahead, the base aims to onboard an additional 30 enterprises by 2026, offering comprehensive support to its ecological partners and propelling the widespread adoption and industry-wide innovation of artificial intelligence technologies within the power sector.
