According to TechCrunch, Mind Robotics, an industrial robot company spun off by electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian, has completed a $500 million Series A funding round, co-led by Accel and Andreessen Horowitz. Previously, the company had already secured $115 million in seed funding, bringing the total funding amount to $615 million, with a post-money valuation of approximately $2 billion. Mind Robotics focuses on developing industrial AI robots to address the limitations of traditional industrial automation.
