Tencent’s WorkBuddy Receives Major Update: Seamless One-Click Integration with WeChat

On March 12, 2026, Tencent rolled out a substantial upgrade for its in-house AI-powered desktop intelligent assistant platform, WorkBuddy. This update introduces four key enhancements: effortless one-click integration with WeChat, reliable long-term access to WeChat Work, automated task execution and progress monitoring, and support for skill imports. By configuring a WeChat customer service account, users can now directly connect to WeChat and send commands remotely. WorkBuddy on office computers can subsequently carry out tasks such as data retrieval and content creation. To celebrate this launch, from now until March 31, new registrants will receive a 5,000 Credits experience bonus.
