An announcement was made by the Douyin Bulletin Board, affirming its commitment to rigorously clamping down on pornographic and indecent content, with a particular focus on content that violates regulations and is generated using AI technology. Lately, the platform has detected instances where certain users have been leveraging AI to produce indecent content that hovers on the brink of acceptability. Since the commencement of this year, 42,000 pieces of content that violated regulations have been removed, and various penalties have been meted out to 14,000 accounts. Concurrently, the platform highlighted three representative cases: firstly, a criminal gang operating on the black market employed AI to fabricate images, constructing a persona of a 'single mother assisting her child with studies' as a means of luring users to pornographic content (traffic diversion), leading to the criminal detention of four individuals; secondly, AI-generated images of attractive women were utilized to direct users to a favorites page for the purpose of pornographic traffic diversion, resulting in the deactivation of 339 accounts; thirdly, the persistent posting of AI-generated content showcasing revealing and suggestive attire led to the deactivation of 8,421 accounts.
