Barely a month after concluding its prior $500 million funding round, Moonshot AI's Kimi is on the verge of finalizing a fresh funding round that surpasses $700 million. This latest round is co-led by existing investors such as Alibaba, 5Y Capital, and Jiuan, with Tencent joining as a subsequent investor. Concurrently, Kimi's valuation in this new funding phase has soared to the range of $10-12 billion, with its most recent valuation doubling to exceed the $10 billion mark. In these two successive funding rounds, Moonshot AI Kimi has successfully garnered a total of over $1.2 billion, marking the highest sum raised in the large model industry over the past year.
