On February 11, The New York Times reported that during an internal employee meeting at xAI held on Tuesday evening (local time), Elon Musk revealed ambitious plans to establish a factory on the moon dedicated to manufacturing AI satellites. According to Musk, the facility would utilize an advanced propulsion system—referred to as a "mass driver"—to launch these satellites into orbit. The primary objective of this lunar factory is to bolster computational capabilities for xAI’s artificial intelligence systems. However, as of now, no detailed construction timelines or blueprints have been disclosed.
