WeChat Once Again Blocks Yuanbao's Sharing Code, Following the Block on Qianwen

On February 6, 2026, the Qianwen App rolled out its '3 Billion Free Orders During Spring Festival' promotion. In a remarkable feat, it garnered over a million orders in less than three hours. However, the sharing link for Qianwen's red packet QR code was promptly blocked by WeChat, with the reason given as 'incentivized sharing.' This isn't the first instance of such an action. Previously, the Spring Festival red packet sharing link from Tencent's Yuanbao App faced a similar fate, being blocked by WeChat for the very same reason. Subsequently, Yuanbao changed its approach to a 'code-based red packet.' Yet, when tested on February 6, it was found that the red packet codes for both Yuanbao and Qianwen are not copyable on WeChat.
