A Google spokesperson confirmed that the company has acquired U.S. startup Common Sense Machines, with the transaction completed this week and the acquisition amount undisclosed. Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the company focuses on the development of generative artificial intelligence models capable of transforming two-dimensional images into three-dimensional digital assets. Previously, the company secured $10 million in funding and was most recently valued at $15 million, employing approximately 12 staff members. Its co-CEO, Tejas Kulkarni, previously worked at Google DeepMind and co-founded the company in 2020.
