On January 22, Elon Musk made his inaugural appearance at the Davos World Economic Forum. He participated in a dialogue lasting approximately 30 minutes with Larry Fink, the co-chair of the World Economic Forum. During this discussion, Musk shared his vision for a future shaped by robots. He revealed that the Optimus robot is already undertaking simple tasks in factories and anticipated that it would be capable of performing more complex operations by the end of 2026, paving the way for public sales. Musk predicted that in the future, the population of robots would outnumber that of humans, sparking a surge in economic growth.
He also touched upon SpaceX's Mars exploration plans, stating that the company is making progress on both unmanned and manned missions to the Red Planet. The objective is to launch an unmanned Mars mission in 2026 and achieve manned exploration before the end of the decade. Moreover, Musk expressed his view that while combating aging is not an insurmountable challenge, preventing it entirely may not be beneficial. He warned of the potential for societal rigidity and stagnation if the aging process were to be halted.
