During a press conference organized by the State Council Information Office, Zhang Yunming, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), announced that the MIIT, in partnership with seven other departments, has released the Implementation Opinions on the Special Action Plan for 'Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing', along with supplementary guidelines aimed at facilitating industry transformation and enterprise adoption. Moving forward, the focus will be on executing these Implementation Opinions to propel the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence sector. This will involve:
- Prioritizing Technological Innovation: Striving for breakthroughs in essential technologies such as training chips and heterogeneous computing capabilities.
- Promoting Integrated Applications: Driving the extensive use of artificial intelligence across various phases of manufacturing, including research and development, design, and production.
- Nurturing Enterprise Growth: Encouraging the rise of more enabling application service providers.
- Reinforcing Ecosystem Development: Establishing urgently needed industry standards and enhancing open-source mechanisms for artificial intelligence.
- Bolstering Safety Governance: Strengthening research and application in algorithm security protection and training data safeguarding.
