On January 12, Independent Variable Robotics unveiled the successful closure of its Series A++ financing round, amassing a staggering 1 billion yuan. The roster of investors boasted notable names, including ByteDance, Sequoia China, the Beijing Information Industry Development Fund, Shenzhen Capital Group, Nanshan Venture Capital, and Wuxi Venture Capital. This particular funding round stands out as the inaugural investment from Shenzhen Capital Group's AI-focused fund since its inception. Prior to this, Independent Variable Robotics had already garnered financial support from Meituan and Alibaba. Consequently, it has earned the distinction of being the only domestic embodied AI enterprise to secure simultaneous investments from these three tech giants.
