On January 5 (local time), NVIDIA convened a press conference in Las Vegas. At the conference, NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, donning a leather jacket, took stock of the AI industry's progress over the past year. He emphasized that the surge in open-source models has acted as a driving force for worldwide innovation, with Deepseek R1 emerging as a particularly notable example that has unexpectedly spurred industry-wide transformation. Presently, a multitude of open-source models have surfaced globally, with their capabilities steadily narrowing the gap with those of top-tier large models. The visuals presented behind Huang featured several open-source models, among which were three Chinese contributions: Kimi K2, Qwen, and DeepseekV3.2.
