This Monday, Amazon formally unveiled the dedicated website, Alexa.com, tailored for Alexa+, enabling a select group of users to engage in conversations with the virtual assistant through their web browsers. This strategic move signifies Amazon's more direct foray into competition with OpenAI's ChatGPT.
At present, access to Alexa.com is exclusively granted to Alexa+ subscribers. Launched by Amazon in February of the previous year, Alexa+ represents a next-generation AI assistant that is still in its nascent stages of user experience. To gain entry, users are required to either join a waiting list or acquire newer, compatible devices.
