At a recent press conference, a spokesperson from the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) announced that over the forthcoming five-year period, China is set to bolster the Global Development Initiative. The focus will be on cultivating the 'Digital South' brand and collaborating with partner nations to launch digital empowerment initiatives. These efforts aim to diminish the digital divide separating the global North and South, ensuring that technological progress brings tangible benefits to developing countries. Presently, the CIDCA has established a 'Special Fund for Digital Capacity Building.' This fund is earmarked for organizing 200 training programs centered on the digital economy and artificial intelligence, specifically tailored for countries in the South over the next five years.
