Recently, the ninth World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC - 25), organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), wrapped up in Baku, Azerbaijan. During the conference, developing countries collaborated to push for the adoption of the first-ever new resolution on artificial intelligence within the ITU's Telecommunication Development Sector. Moreover, they successfully integrated cutting-edge technological topics, including artificial intelligence and the metaverse, into the core research areas of the sector for the upcoming four years. This move signifies that emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, are set to systematically steer the global digital landscape towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
