As reported by Windows Report, Google has recently refined the new tab page design in the Chrome Canary release. This update has led to enhanced stability and consistency in AI features, along with more comprehensive interface elements. The desktop new tab search box now incorporates a '+' menu, enabling users to directly add images or files, initiate a Deep Search, or generate images. All these options now work seamlessly.

Furthermore, the AI mode in the desktop browser has been enhanced with context-aware capabilities. When users activate AI mode from the address bar, Chrome presents an inquiry panel with suggested actions. This allows users to inquire Google about the content of the previous tab and obtain summaries without the need to switch tabs or engage in copying and pasting.

The Chrome Canary version for Android has also introduced analogous features. The '+' button in the address bar now includes a tab options button, facilitating users to select recent tabs and incorporate them into AI queries. Moreover, when users activate AI mode from the new tab search box, the address bar now explicitly displays 'AI Mode', replacing the previous URL display.
