However, when projecting the timeline out to five to ten years, he expressed unwavering confidence that China’s open-source AI ecosystem will pull decisively ahead. He forecasts that within ten years, China’s AI capabilities will surpass those of the US, primarily because he believes the US will face challenges in scaling its data centers and power infrastructure to keep pace with the rapid evolution of AI technology.
