During the AI Engineer Code Summit, Kevin Hou, who serves as the Product Engineering Lead for Google Antigravity, officially introduced Antigravity. This is a brand-new integrated development environment driven by Gemini 3. The platform firmly adheres to an 'agent-first' philosophy as its fundamental guiding principle. It offers robust support for cross-application collaboration and multimodal interaction. Antigravity comprises three key modules: an AI editor, an agent-controlled browser, and a central agent manager.
Antigravity has brought in a 'dynamic artifact' mechanism. This mechanism is designed to meticulously record agent behaviors. These behaviors can be presented in the form of visual plans, code modifications, or architecture diagrams. Moreover, it guarantees operational transparency by utilizing screen recordings. At present, the platform is open for public preview. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. What's more, it is entirely free to use.
