On November 29, the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, in collaboration with the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, unveiled the Beijing AI Industry White Paper (2025). The white paper forecasts that a wide array of AI Agents, capable of fulfilling roles such as personal assistants, automating business operations, and serving as research aides, will witness explosive growth. The evolution of embodied AI is expected to make a significant leap, transitioning from mere information processing to executing physical tasks.

The white paper also delves into the future trends within the AI sector, encompassing the expansion of cognitive capability boundaries, the bolstering of world models' generalization prowess and reliability, the acceleration of scientific breakthroughs through 'AI for Science,' the promotion of inclusive technological advancements, and the emergence of new application frontiers propelled by edge-side intelligence. Edge devices, including smartphones, personal computers, and intelligent vehicles, are anticipated to acquire more robust intelligent processing capabilities.
