On November 24 (local time), U.S. President Trump inked an executive order to kick off the national AI campaign, dubbed the 'Genesis Initiative.' This initiative is geared towards harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to revolutionize scientific research and expedite scientific breakthroughs. It mandates the Department of Energy to establish an AI experimental hub, amalgamating supercomputers and data assets to craft fundamental scientific models and bolster robotic labs. The President's Assistant for Science and Technology Affairs will take charge of coordinating the amalgamation of data and infrastructure across federal agencies. Meanwhile, the Secretary of Energy, the President's Assistant for Science and Technology, and the AI Special Advisor will team up with academia and the private sector to propel the initiative's execution forward.
