Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), has asserted that the European economy must wholeheartedly embrace artificial intelligence (AI) and dismantle obstacles hindering its broad implementation to fully capitalize on the technological rewards at stake. She underscored the urgency for Europe to recalibrate its stance, warning that failure to do so could result in missing the AI revolution and compromising its long-term prospects. Lagarde is convinced that through swift and judicious application of AI technologies, Europe can convert its status as a latecomer into a competitive edge.
