On November 21, 2025, Foxconn Technology Group and OpenAI unveiled a collaborative initiative focused on AI infrastructure hardware. Under this partnership, the two entities will work hand in hand to co-design and co-develop AI data center racks. Additionally, they will manufacture a range of AI data center components—such as cables, networking equipment, cooling systems, and power solutions—right here in the United States.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to bolster the resilience of the U.S. domestic supply chain while expediting the rollout of cutting-edge AI systems. It's important to note that the agreement does not entail any binding procurement commitments on either side. Moreover, OpenAI will maintain its priority evaluation rights and retain the flexibility to exercise procurement options as deemed necessary.
