Netease has unveiled its financial results for the third quarter of 2025, revealing a net revenue of RMB 28.4 billion for Q3 and a non-GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) net profit of RMB 9.5 billion. The company allocated RMB 4.5 billion to research and development, marking an investment intensity of 16%. The net revenue generated from games and related value-added services soared to RMB 23.3 billion, propelled by the record-breaking performance of several self-developed evergreen titles and licensed games alike. Notably, popular original intellectual properties (IPs) exhibited robust growth, while the company’s overseas operations shone brightly, with titles such as Destiny: Stars and the mobile adaptation of Justice Online achieving remarkable success on the global stage. New releases like Infinite and Forgotten Seas have also captured significant attention.
The net revenue from innovative and other business segments reached RMB 1.4 billion, with standout performances from NetEase Yanxuan and NetEase Media. Furthermore, AI technology has emerged as a pivotal driver of business expansion, enhancing user experiences across the board. In the gaming sector, AI has invigorated the creator ecosystem, while Youdao’s AI subscription service sales approached RMB 100 million. Meanwhile, NetEase Cloud Music has introduced cutting-edge features such as AI Mastering, further solidifying its position in the market.
