Recently, the AI research platform AlphaXiv made a significant announcement: it has successfully wrapped up a seed funding round, raising $7 million. The platform is on a mission to position itself as the GitHub of the AI research realm, facilitating engineers in transforming the latest academic breakthroughs into state-of-the-art AI capabilities.
This particular funding round was co-led by Menlo Ventures and Haystack. Several other institutions also threw their weight behind this initiative, including Shakti VC and Conviction Embed. Moreover, a roster of prominent angel investors participated, such as Eric Schmidt, the ex-CEO of Google, and Sebastian Thrun, the co-founder of Udacity.
