On November 5th, during XPENG Tech Day 2025, XPENG took the wraps off its latest humanoid robot, IRON. This robot showcases an incredibly human-like design. It incorporates a human-like spine, bionic muscles, and a fully covered, flexible skin. This skin can be customized to suit different body types, giving it a more personalized appearance.

IRON is a marvel of engineering with 82 degrees of freedom spread across its body. This allows it to move with remarkable agility and perform complex actions, such as strutting like a model on a catwalk. Its hands are a masterpiece of design, crafted in a 1:1 ratio to human hands and featuring 22 degrees of freedom. This enables it to grasp objects with precision, mimicking human dexterity.

In the realm of intelligence, IRON is no slouch. It is outfitted with three Turing AI chips, providing a computing power of 2250 TOPS. Moreover, it stands out as the first to integrate a large physical world model. This integration grants it advanced intelligence in dialogue, walking, and interaction, making it more akin to a human companion.

Additionally, IRON breaks new ground in the industry by being the first to utilize all-solid-state batteries. These batteries not only ensure a lightweight design but also enhance safety, a crucial aspect for any robotic system.

XPENG has set its sights on achieving mass production of IRON by the end of 2026. The company plans to prioritize its deployment in commercial service scenarios, where its advanced capabilities can be put to good use.
