On November 5, during the sub-forum on "Collaborative Innovation for Humanoid Robot Development" at the 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum, Leng Xiaokun, the Youth Deputy Director of the Robotics Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics and also the Chairman of Leju Robotics, shared an intriguing forecast. He mentioned that the industrial sector is poised to witness a significant milestone next year, with the purchase and delivery volume of humanoid robots projected to surpass 10,000 units.

Leng elaborated that once the delivery volume crosses the 10,000-unit threshold, humanoid robots will mark their inaugural development inflection point. He drew a parallel to the scenario in the new energy vehicle sector, where widespread adoption commenced after the delivery volume exceeded 10,000 units around 2018. Similarly, he anticipates that humanoid robots will then genuinely embark on the stage of large-scale, mass application.
